FAQs

What is coaching?

Coaching focuses on improving people’s well-being via a highly tuned and powerful process of communication and problem-solving. Coaching’s main purpose is to work on the client’s personal or professional development, helping them build and utilize the right tools to reach their goals.

The relationship between a coach and a client is Co-Creative and focuses entirely on the client’s interests, challenges, and goals. In the coach-client relationship, there’s no authority figure. Both the coach and the client use their knowledge, resources, skills, and intuition to problem-solve on the client’s behalf.

What can I work on with a coach?

The answer is, “Just about anything!” Understand what’s holding you back, connect with your authentic self, find your purpose, start a new hobby, add new healthy habits to your life, slow down the rhythm of life, turn a dream into reality, help with a transition in your life, and find meaning in your day-to-day life, are some examples of client undertakings. You just need to be honest with yourself (and your coach) about what you want to achieve.

A coach is not an expert advising you in a particular field. Instead, coaches are change experts who help you find the solution for your unique situation.

Most importantly, a coach is someone who will see your potential and will support you to become a better version of yourself.

What are the differences between a life coach and a therapist?

The main difference between a life coach and a therapist is the focus of their work. A therapist focuses on mental health and emotional well-being, while a life coach focuses on setting and achieving goals. This is why when you work with a life coach you only work on present challenges and/or goals and future outcomes. With a therapist, you work on deep-rooted issues from the past to understand how it is affecting your present. A life coach seeks clients’ empowerment and self-discovery while encouraging action, whereas a therapist seeks to remove pain by helping clients heal from past traumas.

Can I book a free session before I commit?

Yes! And this is what I recommend to all potential clients who are thinking about working with me. I call this session a ‘Discovery Call’. During this session, we’ll get to know each other a bit and we’ll be able to evaluate if we are a good fit for working together. During this call, you’ll learn more about me, what our work together might be like, and the investment (time and money) in this life-changing journey. You can then decide if you want to move forward, no strings attached!

What is the cancellation policy?

We will choose a regular time for our sessions together. This will be your time slot. If something must change temporarily or permanently, I will be happy to work that out with you.

For best results, please give our session high priority and arrange your schedule to honor our agreed-upon time. If you must reschedule or cancel our session, I ask you to give me 24-hour notice. Cancellations without at least a 24-hour notice will not be refunded. And no-call/no-shows are not rescheduled.

What is the length of each session?

Our sessions will be between 45 – 60 minutes long.

Where will the sessions take place?

This will vary depending on what works best for you. The three options that I offer are Zoom, phone, and in-person.
